John Wigham is a Chartered Engineer and an expert in manufacturing processes.

John WighamJohn has over 25 years experience in manufacturing. He has considerable experience with start up operations having been involved with a number of greenfield start ups in addition to assisting start up companies during his time in contract manufacturing. He has helped entrepreneurs, university spinouts and start up companies take their products from initial concept to manufacture and sales to the market. He focuses on designing for manufacture and support as an essential part of profitable success in the market, with the philosophy that it is easier to design a product for low-cost manufacture at the outset than it is to try to cut costs as the product is being manufactured. He sees it as equally important that the initial product design takes product reliability, warranty life, certification needs and end-of-life disposal into account, as it does the achievement of desired functionality.
